ADK Shakes

The Adirondack Shakespeare Company (ADK Shakes) was born in 2008 from an experimental project we call Shakespeare IN THE RAW. By stripping away extraneous elements of production, we focus in on the most essential aspects of theatre: the words, the actors telling the story, and the audience. We put up full productions of uncut classic plays in only a few days time, so that in performance the audience joins the players in that rare moment of discovering the play together for the very first time.
