About Tara

I am proud to identify first and foremost as the Artistic Director of the Adirondack Shakespeare Company. A long-time bookworm, theater-lover, and eventual Shakespeare-nerd, I graduated from Muhlenberg College in 2004 with a BA in English and Anthropology. Since 2005, I have worked as a professional, classical actor before co-founding ADK Shakes in 2009 (though our first production was actually in 2008). I returned to school in 2010 to earn my M.A. in English Literature from St. John's University after failing to keep my resolution never to live in NYC. Now I enjoy living in upstate NY, where I work as an Adjunct Professor of English at SUNY Adirondack and as a Faculty Writing Tutor in their Center for Reading and Writing.
